What is this know-how?

This wiki-like know-how has been produced by Yedlik AS and Battkomp AS in the years 2020 to 2024 while working on batteries in Oslo, Norway.

I started repairing e-bike batteries in April 2020, and built a company around it. The activity gradually changed and sophisticated into rebuilding, developing systems to be able to repair and rebuild more e-bike batteries and in better quality, and eventually into developing whole new batteries. When I say 'build' or 'develop' batteries, I mean that we the bought battery cells, and we did the rest:

• Designed and produced cell holders
• Designed the laser cut nickel strips to connect the cells
• Spot welded them together
• Made outer housings of plastic and metal sheets
• Designed custom electronics for communication
• Made custom software to run our boards

During these years, we created a lot of internal documentation, and it is mostly that that I decided to publish on this page. Most of it was written by me, but not all. The original dates of each article are not preserved unfortunately, as the original internal knowledge base used a different platform.

The articles reflect the different technological levels we traversed over the years, and many are about projects that never succeeded. The articles don't cover nearly everything that we did unfortunately. Thanks goes out to all who have worked on parts of this journey. I hope the published information will be of use to some! :)
