The 2nd generation VW modules
The smart modules do not show the voltages. It is possible to install a dumb board instead, but need to drill it to be able to screw it in.

Attaching the modules to the motherboard: It is preferable to have some custom made sleeves for the M8 rods, otherwise the motherboard will be bending.
Using the 29mm tall spacers is actually not so great, because there is a ridge in the middle in the golf cart, even after I cut off the plastic fin:
That ridge is 20 mm tall. The dome nuts are 15 mm tall, so I added 5 mm to the 29mm spacers to become 34mm. ONLY TO THE 8 on the edges!!
Wiring
- The black wire that comes out of the back panel goes to the fuse (P-)
- The long red wire AND the blue wire in the protective sheet goes to B+ on the battery itself
Learning: if the third module was the other way around, there would be no need for extensions! Now the red had to be extended.
Learning: the holes for the modules should not be holes, but cutouts!
