Setting up the test

  • Turn the current off on the DC supplies before connecting the board, otherwise the spark might murder the DC/DC converter on the board
  • The correct order:
    • Make sure crocos are disconnected
    • Give a little current
    • Set up the desired voltage
    • Turn off the current
    • Connect the crocos
    • Give a little current
  • Use the special yellow 1k pull-up banana-to-croco wire for the 5V!

Evaluating the test

  • The current must be jumping up and down, the current must never exceed 800 uA
  • The oscilloscope must be able to decode the UART
  • Press the button: all 4 LEDs must come on
  • Write down
    • The current
    • That the LEDs are OK
    • That the UART is OK
